NGP hailed as fastest growing company

Northern Gas and Power, part of Global Procurement Group (GPG), has won two accolades in the prestigious Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 awards.  NGP has been crowned as the North East’s fastest growing company overall, as well as taking the fastest growing large business (turnover £25m+) title.

The company was up against stiff competition, with 300 businesses having entered the Fastest 50.

The news follows the company’s annual conference and technology launch were it also unveiled its new overarching global brand – Global Procurement Group – which consolidates a wealth of energy expertise across the globe, providing expert advice to businesses internationally.

After taking the prize, NGP and GPG CEO, Fokhrul Islam, said: “Achieving this kind of recognition makes all the hard work worthwhile. I’d like to thank the whole team for their amazingly hard work.

Technology is really pushing our future global growth, and we are increasing our teams in our Gateshead HQ as well as in Paris, Texas and Malta. The Fastest 50, which Ward Hadaway has been running since 1998, ranks the fastest growing profitable companies in the North East over the last three years.
