Empowering Futures: NGP’s Apprenticeship Journey
At Northern Gas and Power, we believe in the power of encouraging talent from the ground up. As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we take pride in showcasing the journey of our apprentices and the ongoing learning culture at NGP.
A Closer Look at the Apprenticeship Experience
Our commitment to nurturing talent is evident in our diverse range of apprenticeship programmes, from People Management to Business Administration and HR Support. Each programme is meticulously designed to unlock the potential of our apprentices, equipping them with the skills necessary for a successful career in the energy sector.
Supporting Our Apprentices Every Step of the Way
At NGP, we understand that robust support is the cornerstone of effective learning. Our apprentices receive unparalleled guidance from seasoned professionals, tailored training sessions, and access to the latest tools and technologies. This nurturing environment not only enhances their learning experience but also fosters a sense of belonging and purpose.
Through the Eyes of Our Apprentices
Our apprentices are not just participants in our programmes; they are the very essence of our success. “Being an apprentice at NGP has allowed me to dive deep into the fundamental of business, applying what I learn in real-time to make tangible contributions,” shares Joseph Lawson, a Level 3 Business Administration apprentice. Olivia Boal, pursuing CIPD Level 3 HR Support, adds, “The mentorship and support here don’t just help me excel academically; they empower me to make a real impact within the team.”
The Path Forward
The journey doesn’t end with the completion of the apprenticeship. NGP is also committed to the continuous development of our apprentices, offering pathways to further career advancement within the company. As we look ahead, we’re excited to see how our apprentices will continue to innovate and drive success in the energy sector and beyond.
National Apprenticeship Week is a time to reflect on the achievements of apprentices across the country and the positive impact they have made. At NGP, we are proud to be part of this national celebration, showcasing the success of our apprentices and the significant contributions they make to our company and the wider economy. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to nurturing talent and continuing our legacy of excellence and innovation in the energy sector.
“Investing in apprenticeships is investing in the future, and at NGP, we’re all about fostering an empowered and skilled team,” concludes Carly Thompson, People Team Manager, who is also pursuing a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management apprentice.
